Their use of small, local producers for some ingredients has helped some struggling populations. Group think rules at corporate; pioneering, rule-breaking spirit claimed by the brand is absent on the inside. Almost impossible to try anything new, even when current practices aren't working. IT philosophy and infrastructure are really, really outdated. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 2.0 4.0 0.0 2.0 4.0 1.0 4248 Open Take a few real risks, support ideas based on merit not politics and see things through to the end, help staff in the trenches break through the status quo. 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Apr 28th, 2021 02:41PM Apr 28th, 2021 02:41PM The Body Shop Consumer Goods Personal Goods

private:thebodyshop https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=4248 Jun 30th, 2008 12:00AM Open Open Buth-Na-Bodhaige Prefer Not to Answer. Wake Forest, NC Take the job if you're desperate, otherwise hold out for a company that will pay you market wages and benefits. If you are fine with stagnation, and have no ambition to advance (some people are comfortable in their surroundings) then this would be an ideal company. Unprofitable company, mis-managed, poor benefits and lack of raises. There were no raises handed out for 2007 perfomances (except management bonuses) and 2008 looks to be on track to have the same results. The company is like going to high-school. Many "cliques" within the company, and if you want to just come in and do your job, the infighting, pettiness, and incompetence at the management level will prevent you from doing so. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 1.0 3.0 0.0 1.5 1.0 1.0 4248 Open The company wants to sell a "premium" product to the masses. It's just not working. Either the products are truly "premium" (they're not IMO), or they are yet another mass marketed lotion or soap. Make up your mind and either close the unprofitable stores, or reduce the price to reflect the market rate for the product. Remember, these are "Naturally inspired" products, not "Natural" products. If I want "Natural" products, I'll go to Whole Foods or some other organic store. Shutting off the lights during the day will only save us so much money, if you REALLY wanted to save money you would stop wasting money on conferences, and all of the shop ops reorgs. 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Apr 28th, 2021 02:41PM Apr 28th, 2021 02:41PM The Body Shop Consumer Goods Personal Goods
