The pay is one of the best I've had in four-ish years, I have some amount of freedom to pitch and discuss story content, editors are generally super pleasant and accommodating. Only downside is you're barely ever working in a physical location alongside them. It's all telecommute. Flexible schedule, good pay All telecommute 0.0 0.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 Feb 1st, 2021 10:30AM Mar 20th, 2021 04:16PM The Daily Dot Consumer Services

private:thedailydot https://www.indeed.com/cmp/daily-dot/reviews Jun 6th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Daily Dot Staff Writer Boston, MA USA Poor management, badly organized The Daily Dot is the founder's passion project, and lacks direction. Large amounts of money were wasted on a custom CMS that was abandoned for WordPress, and investing in coverage expansion that was abandoned several years later. The outlet lacks focus as the original mission, to be the paper of record for the internet, is no longer unique to the Dot. Typical work day was 8am to 4pm, or was supposed to be, anyway. Overtime was a regular occurrence for which time and a half was not paid. The company only convened together once a year, otherwise writers were spread out all over the country and it was difficult to get to know colleagues. Work from home. Bad health benefits, low salaries, overworked without adequate compensation. 0.0 0.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 Feb 1st, 2021 10:30AM Mar 20th, 2021 04:32PM The Daily Dot Consumer Services
