Expected to work til 8 pm at least two evenings a week, some pressure to increase client numbers (although salary is steady regardless as opposed to going up or down based on client hours), Raises aren't great because it's a nonprofit and money is tight, but the salary is still very reasonable and like I said, not contingent on client hours which I like

Invest in marketing/advertising strategies to draw more people to the clinic rather than placing the burden on therapists to increase client numbers. I know this is something they are actively working on, which is good. :-) Seek out more funding to provide therapy to un-insured or under-insured adults so we can truly implement the 2-generation model.

I worked there (at the North Minneapolis locations) for many years and through many transitions. The best thing I loved about the job were the people that worked there with me directly or indirectly (e.g. other practitioners and family workers, supervisors, therapists, administrative staff, teachers, etc.). The staff was supportive of not only one another but dedicated to serving their clients. Additionally, they offerred generous benefits and other "perks" e.g. mileage reimbursement, phones, and basic supplies for working with families (varies per program and department). I feel I was quite spoiled there compared to other agencies I've worked for afterwards. Although the environment and experience may vary per program and under different supervisors, my experience was wonderful and I would recommend giving this place a shot.

Lots of down-sizing over the years but they seem to be re-building.
