It is a small design consultancy that gives you the option to work on multiple projects through the lens all the way to completion. Nice staff and great management style.
|
I would not say there are any cons per se. I think it takes time to settle into a company but there is great opportunity for growth and learning.

Great Internship
|
|
Wide range of experience - I was able to work on research projects, blog posts and presentations, to name a few.

Wasn't a very organized internship - had to come up with some projects of my own to work on throughout the summer but taught me a lot about being proactive and how to keep myself busy and helpful.

A great place for independent thinkers

The talent is smart and diverse and includes big thinkers. Lots of enthusiastic, smart people. Made some long-lasting friends. Very social atmosphere. As a junior employee when I joined, I liked the trust I was given. Within a few months I was doing way more than I would have for a larger agency.

High workload. Clients can be demanding, but you do get out what you put in. You need to take control of your own career.

An amazing experience

Working at The Frameworks was an amazing experience for me. Everyone who works for the company is dedicated to doing the best they can for the client and for each other. My manager was a very compassionate leader who saw the best in people and tried to ensure everyone on his team was happy and engaged to serving the client.

There is nothing negative I could say about the company or the Frameworkers in it! It is a first-class organisation in my opinion.

Impeccable design, great people
|
|
I work with a lot of organisations as a contractor and I have been really impressed with The Frameworks. A clear passion for design with talented creatives and some great clients. There's a great camaraderie in the office. If I wasn't so wedded to contract work, this would be one of the first places I'd apply to.
|
They're not as visible as other companies in this space. Before I came here on assignment I had not heard of them, and their work is top notch. Graphically, they surpass anyone I've worked with. They're good at creative, maybe not so good at promoting themselves.

A nice-ish office, and good supplies like a new MacBook.
Pay was decent.
|
Everything and almost everyone felt a bit robotic - the atmosphere was totally sterile.
There was a massive snobbishness from people there, but when you looked into their backgrounds saw that they'd never worked anywhere of note or done anything to explain how superior they all seemed to feel.
Job titles were pompous,
People were pompous.
Yet all the work was not even remotely creative - they sell themselves as an agency. They are, at best, a leaflet and corporate brochure design team.
Look closely at their website - no new work and no new clients for YEARS. Ask about what they do besides work for IBM when you get there - they won't have an answer.

Amazing clients and great managers who share their experience and skill with small teams. Great flexible working arrangements. Because it's a small company, I've been able to wear many different hats and expand my skills. Very supportive team of people.

You learn a lot from great clients and the jobs that come in and the senior team do a good job of mentoring, but I would like more of an idea of progression.

Agency life is a world of long hours and stress from clients but you could say that about anywhere. High standards come at a price. What makes this place so great is the Frameworkers who are some of the best colleagues I’ve ever worked with. Friends as much as co-workers.

A paycheck. A job. Take a good look around, pause, learn and never make this mistake again.
|
Lack of trust. Misuse of talent. No room to grow. Culture is a buzzword turned a most profane joke.
Bottom line. The "partners" are insecure and use their employees in a bizarre spy game against each other. Their insecurities drive them to cycle through talented people and never develop them. They push away the people they need most.
Their clients are misled, overcharged and sold on the brilliance of a long dead star.
