My pros and cons consisted of the time that I worked there, things may have changed since for good or bad. The co worker environment is nice many people there genuinely care and are kind to one another and get along.

It’s very elegant and very beautiful and very expensive

I work there as a housekeeper and we should be paid a lot more than what they pay us , housekeeping is a very hard job. The rooms are very beautiful, and if I didn’t work there, I would stay there. It’s definitely worth the price and the visit. The people there are very polite.

First of all you are under paid. At $12.50 per hour I was told that I was maxed out in the amount of pay I could receive with over 20 years of experience. Second the wait staff is allowed to talk to the cooks as they were idiots, and if you say something to them you were told to apologize to them. Third the Management talked to all the employees the same way. This is not a veryconducive work environment

It was a great experience

I loved the job, I just moved away and couldn't get there. They were very flexible. I got to learn many new things about food and presentation. And I loved making food for all the weddings and seeing how happy everyone was.

I didn't hate the work.
|
It was my first job, so I had no idea what it meant to work for your life. I was in school and most of my expenses were paid for by my dad at the time. With that being it dawned on me years later that I was being paid egregiously low wages for a job that required more action and quick thinking than any other position save possibly the head chef's.

A beautiful place to work.

It is a 5 star hotel. You have to have your game on to work there. It is a fast pace job. You have to turn a room over in 30 minutes. Not an easy task sometimes but you get it accomplished.

A unique working experience that you can't forget.

Working at the George was a wonderful time in my life. I got to learn the in and outs of working in a Hotel Restaurant. Dealing with not only the restaurant customers but the Hotels Guest as well. Such a dealing with RoomService etc. At the time I just turned 20yrs old, with a newborn baby. I was hired on the spot, the money was great. I got payed by the hour and my great, kind, and outgoing personality made me a bunch of tips. I got to serve, host, and room service. Before excepting a job in the medical field.. this was perfect. I met several people, went thru a couple different managers, but the experience was overall great.

Never had the equipment needed, hard to find good help. No management support, low pay, no benefits, company could barely cover paychecks on pay day. Owner was delusional about the restaurant and trying to get people in.
