Lower level staff is phenominal and puts up with a lot to get things done for the community. Director level and up lacks transparency, accountability and understanding of programming. Program Managers are not allowed to fully access the funds or resources the grants they obtain provide, yet are still held to the grant requirements. Make choices (layoffs) based on grant funding and employee outputs not personal preferences of Directors. Some of the staff are wonderful and really care about the environment and what they are doing. Management - the Directors. The Directors do very little and are rarely there. They had an entire group of people leave at once because of the poor management. It is a very patriarchal system even though the President is a woman. She looks the other way as the women are treated as less than.
