Owners are married and fight with each other often, making staff feel incredibly uncomfortable. They micromanage employees and watch the clock like a detention teacher. There is zero trust in employees. Poor communication and very little follow up. It's an unhealthy environment that doesn't need to be. Dated thought processes and no organizational structure.

Great benefits. Early weekends - we are off at 2:30 on Fridays. Great co-workers.

It's really disheartening to see people come and go and then complain about the company - just because they don't want to work hard. The owners are honest, hardworking people, but just can't seem to get a break. They are just asking people to do their job for their paycheck. Yes, they may micromanage, but it's only because they have been burned so much before. Those of us who do our jobs and do them WELL, are treated well, given responsibility, paid well, and enjoy working here. If you come interview here, ask to talk to the people who have been here for a while. We will tell you what we have witnessed.

Decent pay. Fellow employees who are going through the same experience are good sounding boards for one another.
|
A married couple manages this company. The wife is their Controller and the husband is the deal guy. They are very particular about how they want their company to be run and unfortunately, this is what makes the company oppressive. Employees are not allowed to make any decisions whatsoever. Everything has to be ran through her first.
She has told me that in order to avoid making her husband mad, just go to her, so she can protect me. Protect me? Her husband's temper is over the top and he hates to wait for anything. She herself gets yelled at in front of the employees....ugh. The micromanaging that takes places is very off-putting. If this tells you anything, they even monitor how long each employee is in the restroom for. Very sad.

Read ALL the reviews - the positive ones are fake/asked/made by management

early finish on Fridays - you work the extra in the week to make it up.

management/owners - the worst ever
workload - small company mentality and don't invest in workers or things to make job easier.
I did the admin for over 4 sales reps and had to input the same information over and over as these systems are outdated compared to other companies. Took more time to do the job than needed. The sales reps are all overworked and JB helicopter manages them all - even the senior ones who are good at what they do. We had a great VP who left because he had gotten fed up of the hours and pay as well as the shouting and checking up on your emails to customers - and jumping in on them. Most of the people get treated badly by the management here and leave. There are two people who have been employed the longest and are as bad as the owners - you'll know why they stay.

21 employees have left this caustic company in the last 15 months - don't come here to work.

None - but great co-workers in the most part.
|
EVERYTHING! - the owners want you to work more than your hours, throw hissy fits if you don't. one of the owners even sits in his car in the car park to check when you arrive in the mornings. Be prepared for crappy emails from him and his wife if you want to have a life or be with your family on PTO. No matter how hard you work, it won't be enough and don't even think you'll make any extra money here, they don't pay overtime if your a full time worker. For a toy company, it is not fun - no-one is happy here, and they all leave in the end. the staff turnover is the worst.
