This company is transitioning away from being an OEM to an equipment specifier and integrator. Actively shedding the capability to make it's own hardware and instead relying on outside vendors. Many capable engineers and field service personnel counter balance the questionable top-down priorities.

The people at The Robbins Company are great to work with. The profuct is unique and there is a lot to learn when you start. Medical benefits and 401k matching is good. Massive layoffs are a definite downside to working here.

This used to be a good job

This company has fallen very low in the last few years. There is NO accountability for anyone because management has no balls. The people now in charge think the company should be run just like it was many years ago when it was known as Boretec. The company has a terrible reputation as a place that brings in contractors when needed then quickly tosses them away when work slows.

Interesting to say the least!
|
When I first started out at the company I thought I was in love! I figured I'd retire from this place, but at its current situation i doubt that will happen. My job as an electrical technician has been a rewarding experience, but the pay isn't fantastic and you are often asked to complete many tasks. Hours are quite long and when/if your are asked to travel with a machine for 3 weeks. Good luck! more like 3 months. Great way to see the world on the company dime. It's not for everyone, if you really love TBM's you'll take the punishment.

With all the layoffs, and the extra work thrown on the employees. The morale is at an all time low. Everyone is looking for another job. There is zero incentive. Most people that got let go are relieved because they don’t have that stress on their plate anymore.
