Where do I start. It is a whole mess; the managers are the worst. No empathy or skill. It is sad to see so many good employees leave. If you are not careful, this place will give you mental health issues. Stay away at all cost.

I have so much advice, but the main thing is they need to learn to be decent human beings.
TSCG merged with the company I worked at for 3.5 years. They told us nothing would change, but I knew that was a lie. All mergers come with changes, both good and bad. With this TSCG merge, almost all the changes were bad, which led to a lot of employees leaving.
There was never a conversation about how the policies and procedures would mesh together. We had meetings to discuss our position and how we do our work, but nothing about how we were going to combine. They shoved their own policies and procedures down our throats with little to no room to breathe. There was no warning either. Every day, there would be something new changing and we just had to go along with it. If you said something about how/why we used to do something before, they would brush it off and continue with their “new and correct” way. This also affected the clients because they were used to having things done a certain way, and then overnight, things would change. I would relay the message, and they weren’t happy because they weren’t told ahead of time.
TSCG’s Director of Property Accounting demolished the accounting team from the previous company that took years to build, and he did it without a shrewd of guilt or compassion. He’s very rude, provides no help, and doesn’t like being wrong or being called out. When I submitted my 2 weeks’ notice, I never heard anything from him. 24 hours later, HR emailed me the off-boarding information. He never mentioned anything to me about having received my notice, which is very unprofessional. No one at TSCG ever acknowledged that I was leaving, not even a good luck. It was unbelievable.
TSCG claims in their current job openings that they have an open-door environment, but that’s not true at all. When you ask a higher-up a question, it either gets asked back to you (“How do you think you should do this?”) or they tell you to watch a video on the system’s website. The very little “help” they offer is given with a condescending tone. This is especially true about the Director of Property Accounting. You feel no support from any of the higher-ups.
There’s zero communication at TSCG, no matter what the higher-ups try to tell you. This is true between the higher-ups and employees and the higher-ups and clients. The Executive Managing Director, Property Management, loves to tell you how transparent he’s being when in reality, it’s just a front. He gives you the tip of the iceberg and expects you to just accept it and move on. He loves using corporate buzzwords like, “work hard, play hard”, “think outside the box”, “all hands on deck”, and “boots on the ground”. He calls TSCG a family, so you know it’s messy.
They’re spreading lies in their Our People section. They claim, “From the rookies to the veterans, our people are our biggest strength and our biggest differentiator. We train, we teach and we learn; all day every day. Ours is a culture based on service, not sales – we measure our success by that of our clients.” I don’t know where they find the nerve to say all of this. They definitely don’t train, teach or learn. All the new people that started after the merger would constantly ask me and other veterans how to do such and such task because during their “training”, no one told them how to do it. Part of their “training” is assigning you sample modules in their system and then just doing it, no questions asked.
There’s also no room for growth at TSCG. Before the merge, I had a one-on-one with the Director of Property Accounting, where I told him I was getting too comfortable with my work, and I wanted to be challenged more. In the moment, he graciously accepted that and told me challenging things were coming. I waited and waited. Nothing changed after 6 months, even after I constantly reminded him. When there was an opportunity, I would take initiative, but I was always overlooked.
It’s baffling to think that on their Careers page, they say, “Customers will never love a company until the employees love it first.” This is pure lies because the employees definitely don’t love it, hence why so many of us have left. All over their website, you’ll see how they pride themselves on a positive workplace, but TSCG doesn’t come close to that.
The only way I can describe TSCG is toxic to the nth degree. As the saying goes, “In a toxic workplace, it’s like trying to run a race with weights tied to your legs. It hinders progress and saps the joy from what you do.” Before TSCG, I loved the company I worked for. The company itself was the best, but what really made me love the job I was doing was the people that made it enjoyable. Once TSCG came into the picture, I dreaded going to work. I dreaded giving my energy to a lousy company.
Working at TSCG for 6 months gave me anxiety. I never had anxiety before, but TSCG did that to me. I was so overwhelmed with the amount of work I had to do. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night because I knew I had so much work the next day. Or I would wake up in the middle of night because I was thinking about all the work I had to do, and instead of trying to sleep more, I’d grab my laptop and start working. Never in my academic or professional careers did I ever have this problem. I knew I had to leave for my own sake.
I would honestly give TSCG 0 stars, but the minimum number that’s required is 1, so I very reluctantly give it to them. If I knew what a train wreck working with TSCG would be before the merge happened, I would’ve left a lot sooner. None of the higher-ups at TSCG have an ounce of remorse, common sense, or human decency. I hope to never come across them again.

New hires proceed with caution

Last resort employer for a desperate job seeker.
|
Very high employee turn over. Low compensation and no 401K until after one year of employment. A lose or use PTO policy in a 24/7 demanding work environment. Below average reputation with client's. The last milk and cookie happy hour is evident of lack of investment in employees. I had to quit to get a raise.
