I have worked in Moscow Bureau for 3 times as a freelancer. The staff is only about 5 people and the office is small, but everyone was nice to me. Mainly I was helping with translating/interpreting tasks, handling reporter’s arrival and departure at the airport, showing reporters around Moscow, assisting Japanese reporters with gathering material , fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors, performing research at a supervisor's request and other tasks.
I have got excellent chance to practice my Japanese interpreting and translating skills and see how newspaper articles are made.

I have not noticed much, but maybe because I have worked only temporarily.

Fairly laid-back office environment. Nice co-workers and not high-stress. Opportunities to get out of the office on writing assignments. Good if you're looking to boost your Japanese!
