This is a great company for a stepping stone for experience to help transition to tech sales. Lots of cool perks, remote work, a great tech package, cool company swag, and offsite travel experiences. I loved the networking opportunities and felt like I grew as a salesperson here because I had a fantastic manager who was great at coaching.
|
The role is seen more as digital marketing than tech sales, and is similar to an SDR role, with Low base pay even after promotions, and limited growth opportunity within sales. This company has serious reputation damage and sales are feeling the consequences of it. In theory, the product should be easy to sell, but for Outbound sellers, it was difficult to gain the trust of a prospective new client when they've been burned by Thumbtack in the past or a competitor that they feel has a similar business model.
The company does not have great support or practical training if you cannot hit quota. They will require you to make 90+ dials per day and even more during promotions and holidays. Very stressful. They also have done multiple mass layoffs.
