Great benefits, okay pay, some room to grow

The benefits are great, the pay is on the lower end of other call centers. You can grow within the company, but will have a hard time unless you have a degree. 2 major layoffs in just a few years, so the stability is lacking.

You are self-employed and you place your qualifications on their site. Once employers hire you they post their review on their site next to your name.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress at all! If you are good at what you do then you have no worries because your customers will let others know how good you are and that brings you more business.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I worked at a common area in my condominium. You yourself set the environment and culture.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Like I said before, you do not work in an office if you are self-employed. You set your own times and pace in conversations with those who want to employ you.

It was nice working for Thumbtack. Company offered lots of bonuses and other perks plus everyone's treated like family. They closed down our department though which is why I had to leave

Thumbtack is one of those shared service type of companies that provides a very handsome pay and benefits in which you will rarely find in another company especially in a BPO or outsourcing company. People and great and very supporting to each other.

Permanent work-from-home setup, generous PTO, great rewards, benefits and allowances, pay is way above that what is offered in the market

Work is repetitive, minimal to no career growth, policies are not communicated clearly to platform users

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing right now. Late last year someone, I believe this could be one person, hacked into their site and started to generate false direct leads which you’re automatically charged for. It could take 2-3 days to get a credit to your account. They don’t give refunds. Many people are jumping ship now.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Used to be able to get continuous leads. Now you don’t get them for months.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s remote work for me so it’s hard to determine.

Great benefits, terrible sales leadership.
|
As mentioned in the title, the benefits and compensation have the capacity to be great. What makes this role inconvenient is the constant change to your sales process, and the options/packages you have available to sell. It’s difficult to keep potential customers in the line when you can offer one service one week and then have that product or service scrapped the next week, or prices shoot up 4x the original amount, which happened twice while I was there.
