Numbers game, super cheap management
|
In the injectables dept you will work on the trap pack line where nobody else wants to be. Fast paced and hard on the body resulting in "tray pack back". Mostly fem staff in easy positions obsessing over what others are doing while trying to get away with doing the bare minimum and or turning up the machine speed on the line workers. Short breaks and low wages for the industry and hours. Special stuff is mostly for day shift where all the whiners are and the other shifts get a fraction of their share. (3 food trucks for days down to 1 when the shift changed) on a "special" day. Management has come down on anyone requesting better pay and the facility is dirty...they make the
2nd and 3rd shift Production staff clean the whole building.

A living nightmare
|
This is the worst job I’ve ever had. Management is completely incompetent, they have no communication skills and they will set you up to fail.
No clearly defined job description, just make it up as you go. Oh, if you’re salary and work 8 hours, prepare to be told that you aren’t a team player.
Got assigned a project? Prepare to have it changed on you several times because management doesn’t know what they want

Bear minimum of benefits and care for the employee and facilities.

The culture of this company is geared solely toward making the members of upper management more money. In my time here I saw mandatory overtime, a complete lack of any equipment maintenance plan, management telling people that their fears of working with highly toxic chemicals was selfish and berating them instead of going over the safety measures put in place or allaying their fears, and a very cliquey workforce. It isn't a bad job, they pay decently, the direct supervisors and middle management is decent, but the company has an awful core culture and mediocre upper management.

The Management care about you and the Benefits are excellent!

I have been here almost 6 months and I have, for the most part, enjoyed it. I have caring and understanding managers, my team is eager to help me learn and grow, and I get to experience something new almost every day. The hours are great for a family, we work 4-10's. There is overtime, both mandatory and voluntary. The benefits package is better than I have had in the past. Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, 401K (12% match), paid holidays, and much more. Through this Covid-19 situation, management and HR have been most helpful in getting all of us through it, together. They have proven that Tolmar really does care about their employees and their families. I do wish that we were paid a little more per hour for the work that we do, but all in all, I am very grateful for my career at Tolmar. They have been so wonderful to me.

Good place to get foot in the pharmaceuticals door.
Con: Poor management, low pay, and promotions do not make sense. Very difficult to grow professionally.

Awful Place to Work
|
Management is awful. CEO swears at people and treats them like dirt. Human Resource department doesn’t do anything about it. The HR department is awful too. Caddy bunch of non-trustworthy people. Everything is constantly “on-fire”. Co-workers were nice but feel sorry for those who stay. They aren’t treated very well nor respected for their knowledge. It’s like high school and the popular kids get promotions and bonuses. They keep on the lazy, awful staff and all the good people leave or get let go. It’s really an awful place to work. Stay away!!!

Secure Job but not rewarding after a while

This is a great place to work and support your family, but there is a lot of politics when it comes to getting promoted and moving up in the company.
You may get stuck in a lower position if you don't make the right friends.
