They understand that the pandemic has set some of the recent grads back regarding medical training. This isn't a con necessarily, but if you are not used to being on your feet all day and having a fast paced day this may not be for you. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 715265 Open 0.0 [] PART_TIME No Yes 0.0 Apr 30th, 2021 06:52PM Apr 30th, 2021 06:52PM Totally Kids

It's a family-owned business that treats their employees with care and respect. The office culture has a great mixture of skills, ages, and personalities. Management gave me many opportunities to further develop my experience in the role, and they genuinely cared about my continuous growth and education. They trusted me and gave me a lot of freedom and flexibility. I'm glad that I got the opportunity to work for this company. The only "bad" thing I could say about my experience is that there could have been a little bit more visibility as to what my role was going to be, initially. It was more sales-oriented than I expected. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 715265 Open 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Apr 30th, 2021 06:52PM Apr 30th, 2021 06:52PM Totally Kids
private:totallykids-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=715265 May 16th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Totally Kids Sales Manager Bloomington, MN Great people to work for, fun product to sell The critical reviews I have read on this site written by previous disgruntled employees really bother me. I've worked at Totally Kids for 6+ years. As I have a lot of retail experience, I could potentially go anywhere to work without much of a problem but I don't plan on leaving any time soon. Reason being: the owners are two of the nicest, kindest people I have ever worked for. I am treated with respect, kindness, fairness, and I consider both of these individuals to be friends as well as my employers. We have a great relationship because I work hard for them, I am reliable and I care about their business. It's a pretty simple formula for success: show up on time, don't come to work hung-over, try hard, care, act like a grownup - and you will be respected and cared about. I also really enjoy working with people and their families. It's great to sell people something - fun kids' beds - that they're excited about buying (as opposed to selling car repairs or life insurance!) It's the kind of purchase that may not happen quickly. People sometimes shop for hours and don't buy but when they actually do make the decision to purchase, they're excited about it. It's hard work and dealing with the public can be challenging at times. However, all jobs can be challenging. (That's why it's called 'work'!) I do have to note: as far as the comments about the high turnover at TKids: yes, in six years, I've seen a lot of employees come and go. This is fairly typical in the industry due to the age of the average retail employee (millennials). I saw the same thing when i worked at Nordstrom. According to Forbes magazine, "Job hopping is the new normal for millennials" , with the average worker staying at their job for 4 years. This isn't an unusual phenomenon at all. It's pretty common with restaurant workers as well and is not something that the employer should be blamed for. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 715265 Open Hire grownups. 0.0 [] PART_TIME No Yes 6.0 Apr 30th, 2021 06:52PM Apr 30th, 2021 06:52PM Totally Kids
