Generally the people here are friendly, competent and hard working which results in a nice work culture. The pay is decent for a young company.
|
Some of the management seem unrealistic and don't have a cornet vision for the future course of the company. There is some delusion that the company is building a unique intellectual property product but this just is not the case.

The doors to the executive team were always open! We were encouraged to think big and to share our ideas with the rest of the company. Many positions were heavily promoted from within, and positions were also adjusted to accommodate and leverage the strengths of individual employees. The work environment was demanding but flexible when needed.

They were some very poor common sense choices made in the buying and operations side that eventually led to poor customer service and consumer backlash. Digital businesses require even more transparency than brick and mortar to survive and this element was deeply missing.

As an employee of Totsy expectations were always realistic and achievable. Staff was supportive and open to new ideas and available to lend a hand.

Management communication with employees was poor and the company was more concerned about their bottom line than their customers. Often decisions were made and executed without fully preparing the staff for the implications or reaction of customer base

Poor management with no communication or direction across departments. Project or Program management is non-existent all things are chaotic and reactive. Technology is sub-standard with no methodology to stabilize. Standard, even at the lowest level, of management / leadership completely lacking. No understanding of marketing, branding, business development or partnership exists and CEO level leadership does not exist.
