Touchtown has thrived in recent years, culminating in an acquisition by parent company Uniguest. PTO and 401K packages were maintained or improved, and every employee has the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way. Leadership is effective and supportive, and always makes an effort to bring the team closer together.

Expectations are high, and the workload is always increasing. There is a mindset of do more with less. Healthcare benefits are expensive, despite being part of a large, global company.

Touchtown's people are incredible, the work is challenging and the environment is fun. There's never a dull moment especially since the company has been acquired by Uniguest and become part of a global portfolio. Management genuinely cares about your career growth. The dogs and frequent fun activities definitely help!
The location is awesome, no city parking and you're going opposite of traffic if you're coming from Pittsburgh. It's just outside of the city, too, so not far.

I haven't experienced any so far. There's very low turnover and the company's outlook is consistently positive.

A Great Place to Work

I had the absolute best experience working at Touchtown. There are many pros, but to name a few:
- Incredible mentorship with not only the CEO, but the VP of Customer Success (Mike Rethage)
- Plenty of opportunities to learn and grow in several different aspects of the business
- An amazing group of people to be around every day
- An office filled with passion, laughing, and hardwork (and dogs)
I would recommend Touchtown to anyone.

Beware, not as great as you may think.

There are several talented, passionate and hard-working people plus the products are useful for the senior living community.
|
In my opinion, the CEO, Ted Teele, has an unnecessarily huge ego and although he can be "personable" it is a façade as he is very self-serving with an inflated view of his importance and intelligence. Seriously, have one conversation with him and experience his ego for yourself. His idea of “mentoring” is actually more like dictating and not very empowering. He cultivates a chosen few favorites who are most likely the ones responsible for the overly positive reviews, so beware. To be fair, the culture has improved since the Jeff Pepper reign, he was a miserable person and a terrible leader, but things are not as rosy as depicted in some of these reviews.

Best of Both Worlds

I have worked at Touchtown for 5 years and have witnessed some ups and downs. For the past couple of years, the culture of Touchtown has completely transformed. We do things like Beer Thursday and no limit to PTO (obviously, don't abuse this one). We are making a difference in the lives or older adults and it's so rewarding to see. It's the best of both worlds-meaningful work alongside some amazing people!
