Care about the people that work with you. Care about what you’re doing to employees when you let them go. Stop hiring friends just because you can. Stop treating people that have been with the company longer than most of you like they were the problem. Listen to the employees that have been there when they have solutions. Stop shipping your problems off to vendors who aren’t as talented as your own overlooked team. Stick to your word. Stop lying or allowing lies to potential consumers about product capabilities. Management is transparent and has managed to unite and motivate employees towards a common goal despite all the change within the last 6 months. Employees are dedicated, respectful, and driven. Start-up culture can stressful at times as cash and resources are finite, however, this isn't unique to TrackR. The new team brought in new employees who actually know what they are doing and it's an entirely different company now. Lots of energy around the new products, a more positive outlook. Everybody is working their butts off to make it happen. It's an exciting place to work. Lots of opportunities to get experience. No 401k match or bonus plan. Company is still recovering from years of bad management. Not a 9-5 job. Everyone works together to get the job done—and done well. You can sense the passion peers have for their work and their career, and those peers (not upper management) care about the growth of others. New management has completely hindered and prevented growth of the company's own employees. Does not see the potential in TrackR's team that has been keeping the train going all these years, and instead chose to send the work to agencies (some especially incompetent). If you need a paycheck, go for it, but if you want a career I would keep looking. It's simply a high-stress environment with no satisfaction from having accomplished something.
