private:tradavo https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=911150 Jan 7th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Tradavo General Denver, CO The Company MIGHT Be More Successful If It Weren't For Struggling Leadership Great workers Ever-adapting and hardworking customer service team A product/service that shows great potential Poor leadership A CEO that struggles with taking criticism and responsibility Poor planning skills Poor time management -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 5.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 911150 Open I want to start off by saying that I did not leave Tradavo with anger or hate towards the Company. It's common for companies to put a spin on negative reviews by stating that employees left in poor taste and that alone is the reason they end up leave negative reviews. I truly respect and believe in what Tradavo is doing and, furthermore, really enjoyed the people I worked with. My issue with this company is strictly focused on leadership - or lack thereof. While it is understandable that the company is growing, and therefore making spontaneous changes to support growth, it doesn't justify constantly asking for things to be done quickly rather than efficiently. Many times, I watched hard workers throw something together to impress the CEO and lead team with little to no time - only for it to be poorly received after distribution. The CEO tends to assign LARGE loads of projects to each lead team member at one time and expects quick turnarounds, therefore leaving too much room for mistakes and unfinished work. It was common for leadership to NOT be able to wrap up a number of projects due to the rapid build-up of requests. Processes would change so much that certain lead members weren't even aware and, when asked, either gave the wrong information or no information at all - leaving it to employees to ask at least 2-3 additional people before receiving part of an answer. Emails would commonly go unanswered or overlooked - even after being sent multiple times. As an employee trying to help the company succeed and also gain additional experience that allows them to grow both professionally and personally, it was very frustrating to constantly be told "I just don't have the time". This was a common answer for scheduled meetings being canceled at the last minute, projects not being completed and so on. I would find documents often unread by the entire team for specific projects, including the CEO, and later be told that the work wasn't up to par - although the point of sending the documents and requesting feedback multiple times before the official meetings was for the purpose of updating each document accordingly. The ultimate issue seemed to be that they continued to tell employees that they wanted them to "ask forgiveness, not permission" and "take control" but, when these statements were put into action, they were rarely received in a positive way or were quite often seen as a lack of understanding and/or attention on the employees part (even for soem lead team members). I had a handful of associates complain to me about having to maintain a "yes men" mentality and say they found it very hard to speak honestly about the company or the processes being put into place, because it would later bite them back - although it was consistently encouraged during meetings. I will say, I appreciated the challenges I've come across at Tradavo as it truly put things in perspective. The challenges helped me grow tremendously as an individual who plans on owning their own business in the near future. It allowed me to understand how companies with amazing potential still struggle in so many other ways - which is genuinely humbling. My only advice to Tradavo would be to actually take time to LISTEN and UNDERSTAND who your employees are, how they work and how they need to be communicated to in order to be successful. Be present and understand that taking on too many tasks doesn't always make you a "hero" - often times, it just makes you unreliable. Finally, simply be mindful of how you speak to your employees - avoid speaking to them in a way that makes light of a situation but doesn't tell them anything at all/doesn't actually answer their questions. Your employees (especially the ones who've been there for quite some time) can see right through the conversation and it tends to come off a little insulting. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "President and CEO", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 2476251, "responseDateTime": "2020-01-12T07:56:09.597", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Really enjoyed watching you develop from a Customer Service Rep to a position of higher responsibility as an individual contributor. You added very good value to many of our most important customers. I know it wasn't easy as you were leading the effort on deploying a complex solution. Thank you -- I truly mean that.\n\nSome of your criticism is valid and well-taken -- you provided very similar thoughts in the two week notice e-mail that you sent to most of the employees several months ago. And some of your better changes have already been put in place.\n\nMany here would disagree with some of your other thoughts. That said, if you would have laid out your your suggestions succinctly -- and to your direct managers as well as to me, there could have been a better outcome. And sooner.\n\nI wish you all the best -- you are a smart guy -- and have a bright future. As you move toward owning your own business, I'd suggest you:\n\na) learn to better surmise a situation and develop concrete, tangible suggestions for improvement\n\nb) focus on delivering your feedback with more conviction, less dithering and more to the point and \n\nc) become more open and transparent in how you interact with others and attempt to collaborate, particularly regarding knowledge transfer to your peers. \n\nLast suggestion - when you do become CEO of your own business, which I sincerely hope you do, please come back and read what you wrote here. At that time, I'll also like to forward you some of the long form suggestions you sent in some of your e-mails during your tenure here (yes, I read them all). private:tradavo https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=911150 Feb 13th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Tradavo Account Manager Lakewood, CO Avoid at all costs The Project Management Team, Customer Service Team, and Account Management team really care about the client experience. They are by far some of the most talented individuals I have ever met. Although I was told by multiple people, they almost looked me up to advise me not to take the job after I was offered, had I not, I would not have had the wonderful chance to meet them. You can bring your dog to the office. Listen to your dog, they will show you whom not to trust. The only things worse than reading the bad reviews on this company, is experiencing them. The CEO is a crook. The management team is based on seniority and not experience or their ability to manage or lead a team. This starts at the top. The CEO, while he is a visionary, he has no clue how to implement anything. The company is divided by office workers and workers on the floor. Office workers, who have been with the company longest, have no clue what is going on in the production side. There is no camaraderie between the two groups. Teamwork beyond the floor, is non existent. The CEO doesn't know how to manage his finances. The company is on the very of default of their loans. (perks to small companies, people talk) SO I wrote a little jingle 1,2 Chase is coming for you 3,4 They are going to lock the doors 5,6 Only bankruptcy can fix 7,8 Chase wont negotiate 9,10 you're out of business again -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 16.0 1.0 5.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 911150 Open Take some leadership classes. Learn what your "employees" do before you make unsubstantiated claims. Write some policy and procedures so that everyone knows what is expected of them, how to complete what is expected of them and know how to measure that performance. This is by far the poorest ran company, I have ever seen. Lastly, stop having your butt kissers in the offices write your positive reviews. They wouldn't know what its like out on the floor or the true reflection of the environment people who actually do work, have to work in.
