My overall experience was positive while being employed at TradeMark. Learned alot and had the oppportunity to utilize much of the skills that i had.
|
I enjoyed my experience bring employed at trademark. The management team is inteligent and good at coordinating job schedules. Transportation being provided in the form of company trucks and having all if not most of the tools required for jobs provided was a plus.

They make you work 6 days a week, for 10 hours each day, walking around in the boiling heat and freezing cold, knocking on strangers’ doors trying to sell them whatever service is being pushed at the time. However, despite the grueling hours and constant rejection, there’s been SO MANY times that people have received $0 for their paycheck because they didn’t sell anything or their sales fell through. Right before I left, a lot of people were noticing that they weren’t getting paid the right amount even when they DID make sales that stuck, making it obvious that this was just a scam. It’s also a pyramid scheme but they’ll tell you a million times over that it’s not.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there...ive learned how to wrap products and ship bur overall the work place was terrible.. the hardest part about the job loading without a fork lift and the enjoyable part about the job was getting the job done for the day..

Honest review about the company with pros and cons
|
I want to start off with some positives this company has. Motivational meetings everyday. Employees are friendly and they want to see you grow. Environment is relaxed and it is not supervised by management all the time (this could be a positive and a negative). Unfortunately the negatives are more than the positives which is the reason why I left the company a couple of months ago. The interviews are not professional. Everyone that walks through that door will get hired no matter what their backround is and no matter how they come dressed to the interview which is absolutely unfair for the ones that actually put effort into getting the job. Yes backround checks are done but sometimes they would not come back till months later and there were cases where employees with bad backrounds were allowed to work there until the company would receive their backround checks. During my interview I was never specifically told that I will be going door to door (in the heat, rain, thunderstorms, snow) trying to sign up homeowners for free quotes, and to follow that I was never told to dress comfortably and according to the weather conditions. I was also never told that I would not leave the office until 8:30 PM (every single night). I was never told that I would get paid every 3 weeks and that you do not get paid unless the schedule you're setting up for the homeowners actually goes through. So you may schedule 5 people for the free quotes but if only 1 appointment takes place then that's all you get paid for. If you want to have a set income then this is not the job for you (100% comission). There are no benefits for anyone but management, so IF you get to management you will have benefits. Basically the whole concept of the company is that within a year or two you will get to management but that if far from the truth. In order to become part of management you have to prove that you are good with sales (even though you're "selling" free quotes) and that you are a great leader, so realistically speaking both of those skills take time to master.I know for a fact that the assistant manager of this specific location has been an assistant manager for years and has yet to become a manager which I find very unfair (just to give you a perspecive). Yes as they say they are constantly hiring for new positions because they want to create managers fast due to the new locations they want to open, but they do not retain new employees so it's a never ending loop they will not get out of, unless they make some serious improvements. Same goes with "HR" (front desk) there is a new person almost every other week. Next topic is management. I hate to say this because I really liked the management at first but as I worked there more and more I came to realize that they are not professional whatsoever. A week before my first day at work I had called the office asking to speak to the manager because I had some questions and I was told that I would receive a call back which I never did. That went on for the next 2 days and I heard nothing back from them so I stopped calling and decided to wait and ask those questions on my first day. I liked the fact that the environment is relaxed but sometimes it was too relaxed. Sometimes there was no line between having too much fun and actually working and I hated that. The dress code is not strict at all when it should be. Most girls would wear leggings in the office and some guys would wear dark jeans instead of dress pants and that is not considered "business professional". After I left the company I did not receive my last paycheck until a month later and we can all agree that local mail does not take longer that 5 business days to be delivered, so management was not punctual regarding this important matter. Overall this company needs to improve on a lot of things, but the problem is that management is too proud to admit that. This review is not out of anger or hate towards this company or its employees. I genuinely wish that this company improves and succeeds in the future. Lastly and most importantly do not get a job here if you have a degree. This position does not require you to have any degree so if you worked hard and payed money for one then use it for better opportunities.
