be careful what they promise you
|
I was hired for a second shift machinist position. after 7 weeks I enquired with the plant manager when's the second shift going to happen? he responded " it's complicated, it could be a month, it could be a year". He also stated in the interviewing process, that the family that owns the business doesn't pay themselves that much. But after working there a short time, I found out the 22 year old son is having built a $390,000 home with land , and his 18 year old sister (who just started there a short time ago, is buying a home. Which of you could afford a home at 18? Their pay scale is below average, wonder why? What they pay their kids is their business, but they should raise the pay scale for there employees. I left there after finding out that they promised second shift to another employee 1 1/2 years ago, and he's still waiting. It was also a too much production for my liking, and the air conditioning isn't turned on as much as other shops , they don't maintain a steady temperature.

Owner is self important. Co-owner has no backbone. Nepotism is rampant. People work in fear. Run the other way and don't look back. Horrible company.

Overall a great company to work for
|
Started work a few weeks ago and have been so glad i took the job. The people are very sociable and great to work with and the staff is all great. The environment is clean and sanitary and is Air conditioned which makes it very pleasant and comfortable to work there. I have nothing to complain about and the pay is competitive.
