The pieces are coming together nicely

Having worked as an early employee at another successful DC Tech startup, I'm betting that TransitScreen is about to hit an inflection point of growth and opportunity. The founders each have great strengths that I know will continue to develop. There's a lot of trust and receptiveness to ideas at the top, and the company is still small enough where it feels like everyone is making a big contribution.
No one counts the hours people are in the office, and there's a good amount of flexibility when you need to take a day off or work remotely.

All startups are risky. The company still needs to prove that it can sustain a high revenue growth rate.

TransitScreen is a refreshingly well-balanced company, run neither by salesmen, engineers, or bean-counters. Our CEO has a good blend of abilities for the role and is an active presence in each department. But we also have the prerequisite for all of this, which is a successful product that pays the bills.

There are currently no downsides, but startups are risky. We are still learning what exactly we will be when we grow up.

TransitScreen is a small but mighty team of incredibly smart people who live and breathe our company's mission. It's an inclusive work environment where every single employee's contribution to the team is valued and recognized. Management does not micromanage, but instead, allows the team to manage their own schedule and values working smarter, not harder, which makes for great work-life balance.
As far as workplaces go, TransitScreen is DC's hidden gem.

Having worked at other startups in the past, TransitScreen has been a welcome change of pace. I am truly treated like an adult who can manage my own time, and it is amazing to come to work every day with other adults who can manage their own time as well. Everyone at the company genuinely believes in its mission and treats others with respect. Everyone is friendly, but constant after-hours socializing is not a requirement to get ahead. Work-life balance is more than possible - you can come and go at hours that fit your schedule as long as you get your work done.

As it is a startup, salaries are not as high as they could be. However, we recently started receiving benefits, which is great.

The team works within a small budget and minimal funding to bootstrap most processes.
|
The startup will face issues in scaling if the lead generation and outreach process does not become more effective, and less cumbersome. The current model relies solely on one person, and that person is straining to continue with the existing process while remaining hesitant to new ideas for how to improve or implement steps to more effectively outreach and create high quality campaigns --which is detrimental to the overall business which relies solely on business development.
