Capability to be trained in other departments. Training was well done. Underpaid for good work. Management fails to keep promises. Was told and promised there would be a promotion in my future a YEAR AGO that never happened. From my understanding, paperwork was drawn up for it, but never saw it. Took constant reminding of managers when raises were due. Often did tasks that supervisors were to do but that never got done. GM greatly appreciated my level of work but never ever showed staff his appreciation. Worked shift work, and usually more weekends than managers. In my department having a manager or supervisor on the weekends is almost a necessity for when things go wrong. When trying to get help from managers they are never available. Absolutely no room for advancement in my location without being trained in different departments. Never saw more than 37 hours per week, average was 33 hours, just barely met full time requirements. Every department was understaffed. Employees asking for more hours never got more hours. Time off requests rarely got approved so never knew if you got time off until the schedule came out. Never knew if work met performance standards as work reviews were inconsistently given; could be months apart. Poor communication from management to staff, memos were few and far in between when something important came up requiring one and policy updates never happened. VERY HIGH MANAGEMENT TURNOVER. Saying "good job/great work" more regularly goes a long way in making staff feel appreciated. Follow through on promises.
