Unfortunately, Treasure Data is not trending in the right direction

Good benefits structure. The company is trying to achieve a better work-life balance, which is a positive thing for a company to want in the first place for their employees, but it is still a ways away.
|
Middle management, and some senior management as well, is highly suspect. It begs the painful question, "What is it that they do here?" Lots of very talented team members have left in droves in the past few years, only to be replaced with very average and mediocre talent with a real lack of experience. For a company that sells a technology that brings data sources together, teams and departments are heavily disjointed, don't talk with each other, and often don't understand what each team truly does. Communication is almost non-existent and when it does occur, it's a happy accident. Sales and marketing are pushing a product that few on each of these teams genuinely understand. As Treasure Data grows and gets bigger, the mission and the future of the company is less clear.

Take a good long look at managers across teams and address their value proposition to the company at large. There are so many, too many, 'yes' people in Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Product in particular. Many people in the company don't genuinely have knowledge of the core product, and those that do understand, are monopolized with their time. As tenured employees leave the company, it should be a worrisome sign.
