Crowded market with similar offerings means you'll be challenged to differentiate with few resources or budget.

Even after years of work, you can be laid off at the end of the month, before a holiday, and lose medical benefits instantly.

great product, great people
I had the opportunity to spend about a year and a half with this team and will always look back on my tenure at TR fondly. the management is acutely aware of things that are going on in the world and how those things affect employees. they even instituted a mental health day (one designated Friday per month, all employees would go offline completely, paid).

Fresh leadership, finding focus, and a very good opportunity.
- CEO - extremely sharp with vision and great at telling the company's differentiation. Doesnt cut corners when it comes to building a great company, product, GTM, etc. I never worried about him making a decision that was bad or 'lazy'. I should probably bug him more for feedback. - CRO - changed life for most on the CS and Sales side. Pretty patient and a straight shooter. Give team autonomy and then cant tactfully nudge when needed to get the company on board with their goals. High character guy focused on making everyone successful. - Sales leadership - as an AM or AE, you'll work under a good manager. Good people, sharp, genuinely cares about their teams. I could personally tell my manager anything and she'd have my back and also set me straight if needed. - CS leadership - this is recently sorted out. New head of CS is very knowledgeable and extremely kind. A year ago the leader was not what the company needed so the change was made. A pit stop of two teams with the other leader being in over her head. Should be MUCH better now. Work life balance - company cares about you having time to yourself. I never feel overworked or that I cant take time off. If I was sick my manager always told me to take off and she would cover if I needed her. You also get a company personal day each month intended to let you have time off and enjoy time outside of work.
I think there will likely be some more shifting of product offerings as they iron out what the GTM will look like. This shouldn't be an issue now but a lot of my accounts were shifted to another team with the focus being to expand them, and then I have virtually the exact same quota as the team with my quality accounts I lost. There will be a better rework coming up and I'm optimistic.

Overall on the right track. I think more conversations with the AM team around what they see in terms of opportunity for expansion, and then also remembering the two separate AM focuses will have varying obstacles as well as varying opportunities. Basically include me in some conversations when things are rolled out. Having team buy-in can only help.

Great place to work
Trustradius has an excellent culture that management actually believes in and tries to live up to. The organization works to support teams and to give the team and it's members what they need to succeed. It wasn't always that way, so there is a big cultural shift that is underway and it is exciting to see the changes take effect and our environment and tooling become more state of the art.
Some of our longer standing applications were built many years ago and not maintained very well. In some cases everyone who worked on that project has left the company. This has lead us to having to rework several parts of our system just to know what they are doing and make them much more efficient.

TOXIC avoid at all costs
You will work with some great people not in management
By far most toxic work place I have ever worked at. Ceo is so out of touch with reality spending his time questioning internal AM’s and customer success managers about why/what they aren’t/are doing because an account doesn’t want to renew due to the dream that was sold from the very start on AE side

Some Great, Underpaid, Underappreciated People
Great commitment to remote work Some of the best people and direct managers you will ever work with It varies by team, but a commitment to not predatory unlimited PTO Okay, not exceptional benefits Good work-life balance, IF you assert yourself
Sexism problem: Several key players will spend meetings talking over women and utterly disregarding their expertise and ideas, only to take the exact same concepts seriously when presented by a man. This is especially true for difficult decisions. Plenty of women and non-binary folk in the company, but unless they are directly in leadership roles or extremely assertive, they are ignored. For a team that prides itself on transparency, laying off 20% of the company with no warning via email is poor form. This was done with shockingly little planning for those who remained, placing a huge burden on them. I suspect they will be seeing a massive exodus of their best talent, and know many of the best people are currently looking elsewhere. Documentation and planning are poor. While startups always move fast, changes can feel random, poorly planned, and without direction. CEO is having issues, and it is leaking into the company You will be underpaid relative to similar roles at other companies, sometimes by 20, 30%. Significant raises outside of role changes are nearly impossible, and raises offered can be insultingly low.

Transparency is a JOKE
The occasional uber-eats gift cards were nice.
No 401K match. I am extremely displeased with a variety of things from my time here. The layoffs were a blindside since our CEO had told us only a week prior we would not be doing layoffs and I was at the top of my team numbers-wise. Overworked, underpaid, favoritism, the usual. Drink the kool-aid or get out.
