He recognized a fire and desire in me to always win and nurtured that and developed me to help me become a top achieving Account manager in my current field. I have no cons, but have read several in other's reviews. I would have to say these are likely from people who can't take constructive criticism and don't want accountability in their performance. You do your job, you will be rewarded. I have worked with TruTechnical Partners for some time now. Your job is what you make of it. I see these old reviews of people that never gave it their ALL. I can tell you from experience, any company that you go to, show your value and show that the best interest go to the company as a whole and you will be rewarded. There are always opportunities for growth. Going on 6-years+ with the company, I am proud to be here. private:trutechnicalpartners https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=816826 Nov 28th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open TRU Technical Client Advisor Campbell, CA Dreadful company, work elsewhere Pros: - create your own schedule - generous PTO - option to work from home occasionally - nice coworkers - reasonable quota Cons: - dreadful management - CEO does not honor promised benefits - hostile work environment - low salary (compared to average entry level sales positions in the area) - no company culture - no upward mobility - CEO is a micromanager I wish I had looked at Glassdoor before accepting my job offer here. *worst part: being told I would be fired if I didn't meet quota when I was meeting quota every week Truman, the company CEO, makes many promises he will not keep. - I was told I would be paid for my training prior to work, completed my training and was never paid. - I had to ask every week about my commission checks (supposed to be directly deposited bi-weekly) I got them the day I quit. - I had paperwork ready for my 401k but said I wasn't eligible until specific date (past 90 days) which prevented me from enrolling Little to no training provided (was supposed to get paid for it, I was never paid), expected sales reps to "just get it" by spending time with the engineers or asking them questions - he rarely answered technical questions. Truman also has no idea how discuss the technology he sells. You'll hear him say "I don't know the tech, that's for my engineers to understand" - not a good way to get people to trust you to manage their IT. Dishonest company: overcharges for services, lies about what the engineers are capable of completing, completely overwhelms and overbooks them, promises fixed services rates - he changes them based on how much he thinks a company is willing to pay. Owner is super chummy during his interview with you and when offering a job, but turns around and treats you like his slaved peon soon after you're in. A job not for the long term, nor for the faint of heart. You gain experience and learn to be a better person in whatever career field..sales, marketing, IT. A stepping stone to something far better. Years of high turn over which indicates that there are management issues with this company. Everything else. Don't work here... I was warned, but didn't listen.... now so are you, please listen! He tries to pay under federal minimum for travel because "that is how much he pays." Luckily he is now required to pay sick time, but its totally possible he will deduct sick time from PTO... Also if you need benefits, they are a joke! He promised a 401k and i had the paperwork in the first day. HR didn't know how to do it and he never paid anything in, in over a year. One more Lie from Tru Tech. Truman isn't technical, he doesn't understand terms, forgets what he said so always get everything in writing, he changes his mind constantly by what is cheapest not what is best practice, and blames employees for his mistakes. He will say that his employees "aren't the sharpest tool in the shed," which really makes you want to work hard. The workplace is homophobic and some of the emails/pictures other techs/Truman will send around are extremely offensive. "IT Management," is just the most senior person there not the most technical or skilled at management. Sales will sell things the technical staff can't provide/doesn't know how too do. Worst of all he LIES to customers and is quite dishonest; this practice shows in the declining client base. Its a stepping stone company and not much more! Some of the people were good people, some of the clients were fun to work with. The owner is a very cheap person. He doesn't believe in sick pay or pay you for any time off. You get two weeks vacation a year TOTAL. But you do not earn any time off until after 90 days, which is complete and total BS. People worked that time and should have accrued time off. The clients are unhappy (and not shy about sharing it) because they see a new tech or "engineer" every other month because the turnover is so high. While most employers give their staff holiday days off, like day after thanksgiving, day after Christmas, the owner makes you come into the office and work, despite most of the companies clients being closed.
