You will be expected to work day in and day out all for poverty level pay. 1a). UCAN will completely abuse your time. They expect you to give up weekends, nights, and holidays to work for them but pay you way less than a living wage (55-60+ hours a week). 1b). You are expected to use your car to travel all across the state and NYC every weekend just so they can reimburse you 50% less than what the average employer reimburses for mileage - all because in their mind, its a privilege to be working for them. 2. Upper management is completely disorganized. 2 a). They are notorious for assigning last minute promos without even talking to the shipping / marketing/ events team. They will show up as they please or not at all, even if it means missing an important meeting. You will receive absolutely zero training but be expected to know exactly what to do day in and day out. Every question you ask is a stupid question and they will make sure you feel like an idiot. 3. Your self-worth and self-growth will severely diminish. 3a).This is not a job you want if you are young, looking for job experience and lessons you can take with you in the future, in fact, it is the opposite. UCAN employers made it clear, that I was just a number to them. They will assign you busy work, micromanage the work you did and then tell you to go put stickers on a box. They undermine you all of the time and are the kings and queens of making you feel devalued. There is absolutely no room for growth within the company so even when you do work incredibly hard, there is very little to show for it.
