Everything. This company is a joke. $600+ a month for their family insurance plan not including vision and dental, but the starting wage is $11 an hour in NC. In OH the they start at $13. I have no idea how anyone can afford to work there if they need insurance. They also brag about the company being "like a family", but treat you like the weird cousin no one likes. Upper management is awful. They lie as naturally as they breath, and couldn't care less about their employees. The worst of all is the HR department. They're as useless as concrete parachutes. They are rude, condescending and constantly project that "why are YOU talking to me" attitude. It really was terrible there. Don't be fooled... They can't retain employees so they post under United Sporting Companies, Jerry's, Ellett Brothers and now AcuSport. What a shady place. The list of paid holidays is one of the few things they are generous on Everything. There is no onboarding or training to speak of. The "Lead Team" does not lead. The only good one of the group is Ted. Steer clear of the others. Departments do not work together. Most of the company is stuck operating the way employers did decades ago. There is no room for growth. They do not give raises or bonuses despite being promised upon hire. HR takes the Human out of Human Resources. And for the love of God, communicate. Communicate to your staff, communicate between departments. I thought I would retire from here, only to have them run a multimillion dollar business into the ground because of greed. Pay steadily gets taken away from you, and you can't read your commission reports on how you're getting paid. Don't make purchases based off of what free trip you'll get. And quit getting on the stage in front of all your sales people and lying. Ted is the only "upper management" that I approve of. I have a lot of freedom to be creative and problem solve. I feel like the company is moving in a positive direction. The people who work here are very passionate about the industry and their customers. Communication could be improved between departments. Remote employees should be included in meetings so they feel like they are a part of the company and the decision making process.
