Everything. This company is a joke. $600+ a month for their family insurance plan not including vision and dental, but the starting wage is $11 an hour in NC. In OH the they start at $13. I have no idea how anyone can afford to work there if they need insurance. They also brag about the company being "like a family", but treat you like the weird cousin no one likes.
Upper management is awful. They lie as naturally as they breath, and couldn't care less about their employees.
The worst of all is the HR department. They're as useless as concrete parachutes. They are rude, condescending and constantly project that "why are YOU talking to me" attitude. It really was terrible there.
Don't be fooled... They can't retain employees so they post under United Sporting Companies, Jerry's, Ellett Brothers and now AcuSport. What a shady place.
If you need a job, anything else is better.

There's not a lot to list that I would consider a pro. The list of paid holidays is one of the few things they are generous on
|
Everything. There is no onboarding or training to speak of. The "Lead Team" does not lead. The only good one of the group is Ted. Steer clear of the others. Departments do not work together. Most of the company is stuck operating the way employers did decades ago. There is no room for growth. They do not give raises or bonuses despite being promised upon hire. HR takes the Human out of Human Resources. And God help you if you don't work in Chapin, you will never be given a second thought.

Stop preaching "The Golden Rule Way", you wouldn't know it if it slapped you in the face. Hire a Lead Team that actually knows what leadership is and will value their employees. Or maybe just follow Ted's example since he's the only one who understands that. And for the love of God, communicate. Communicate to your staff, communicate between departments. The industry is already in the gutter and by not changing your ways you're right there with it.

Obviously, the first 2 reviews were written by "upper management"
|
|
Your coworkers are your only pro's here.
|
do not even think about coming to work here until the current CEO, Brad Johnson, and the "group" of management he brought on, is gone. I thought I would retire from here, only to have them run a multimillion dollar business into the ground because of greed. Pay steadily gets taken away from you, and you can't read your commission reports on how you're getting paid. No one, not even payroll department, can explain it.

Honestly, my advise to the UPPER MANAGEMENT would be to turn in your resignation ASAP so that the company can actually start trying to rebuild. Don't make purchases based off of what free trip you'll get. And quit getting on the stage in front of all your sales people and lying.
Ted is the only "upper management" that I approve of.
The rest, including the joke of the HR department they have, are about as useless as a brick, and condescending.

Passionate About The Industry
|
|
My coworkers have been very friendly and welcoming. I have a lot of freedom to be creative and problem solve. I feel like the company is moving in a positive direction. The people who work here are very passionate about the industry and their customers.
|
Communication could be improved between departments. Remote employees should be included in meetings so they feel like they are a part of the company and the decision making process. The benefits are fairly expensive.
