Working at the academy, you not only have the opportunity to maintain levels of readiness, but also have an impact on many young men and women who will one day lead our nations military. Plebe Summer will require more working hours, but overall it isn't too bad. I was active duty, and was assigned to the Academy, but most civilians I worked with loved working there. The STEM departments are outstanding and produce cutting edge research.
