UV fights for workers who have no voice or power in the workplace. In this way, the work is rewarding. You have the opportunity to genuinely help people who are being exploited and very few other places to turn.
|
Working in the union movement can be challenging. Oftentimes you have to work with members who want help but are not willing to contribute either financially or programmatically. On the flip side, the vast majority of employers for whom members work do the wrong thing time and time again. It can feel like an uphill battle.
