Poor management at best. The benefits and salary not very good compared to other facilities. The staff where I worked we're not very friendly and seem to be " dug in" the community and are not very good with diversity.

Great intellectually stimulating and challenging problem solving work
Working in EHS, there was a clear mission and purpose to my job. I learned so much over the 8 years there anc developed strong working relationships. For the most part there was great collaboration and working together as a team. Benefits and time off were most generous. I always learned something new. Being off site from main EHS division had its own set of challenges.
Benefits, Pto, intellectually challenging, teamwork
Some departments more challenging to work with than others

Horrible Custodial Management
U.C.C.S. is a terrible place to work if you are not a teacher or administration. No raises, substandard products, and maximum results are expected with minimum help. Employees are driven to the point of burnout, with little to no compensation. I could go on and on. The reputation this university has in this community is undeserved, considering the way they treat the blue collar workers. They should be ashamed of themselves. I’m sorry I wasted 14 years of my life, giving my best to this unfair and hypocritical institution.

No support from management!
No support from management! I’m a nurse practitioner that worked directly with a physician. There was no support from management, so if you do not have a good relationship with your physician or do not agree with the way that they treat patients, then you are left with zero options!
The physician I worked for set unrealistic expectations. I was a new grad nurse practitioner And within six months I was expecting to see 30 patients a day five days a week without help! The physician I worked for was absolutely horrible without any bedside manner or interpersonal skills! When coronavirus became prevalent in March, I was not accommodated to work from home or provided any Options for telehealth
The facility was beautiful
I was paid at entry level, but expected to perform as though I had three+ Years of experience!

Your experience can be great - or it can be awful
As a grad student you're expected to work a lot of hours, so you really must enjoy what you're doing. You'll get to know some of the brightest people in your field.

Good work place
I worked in a department part of the facilities management. A lot of experienced people that you can learn from. I worked 4 days 10 hr shifts. I couldn't work for long enough and I wish I could.

Very disappointed, Excited to leave
Do have great retirement options and benefits. However are very political and in my opinion not very friendly. Are very goal oriented regardless of other circumstances. Just want to toot their own horn about doing bigger and supposedly more important stuff than actually caring what they are doing. Very little oversight of PI's

Very Good Job For College Students
If you're a college student looking to make some money over the summer then I would highly recommend working as an RA or Night RA. The hours are very customizable, although the easier hours such as the afternoon and early evening are first come first serve.
Dealing with the customers can sometimes be a hassle but overall its fairly easy work with decent pay

Very good benefits in all areas
Great place to work for. The benefits are very good, more so than the medical. The management and the chancellor have kept every one up to date and I have never felt like I was out of the loop throughout this pandemic situation.
Good time scheduling, healthcare choices, great people in management
Can be repetitive
