At the end, I think it would be better to get your master's and leave because the other universities and companies don't know even the name of the UNM. Exciting work in newly developing field of global telementoring Exciting global expansion of medical education through telementoring. Innovation was rewarded. private:universityofnewmexicovalenciacounty https://www.indeed.com/cmp/university-of-new-mexico/reviews Nov 12th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open University of New Mexico Physician Assistant Albuquerque, NM USA Cancer Center Midlevel providers are not respected Taking care of oncology patients is incredibly rewarding. Doing it in this environment is toxic. You are managed by an incompetent RN - not a midlevel- and are expected to sign up for days where you are “midlevel of the day” and/or “late”. In either of those situations, you are often called upon to take care of patients with diseases or problems outside your every day scope of care. For instance, you can work for a surgical service, but if a chemo patient needs care and their provider is not in (often the provider IS in but is too busy to see them), then it is your job to see them-even if is a chemo related issue and you know nothing about that chemo or cancer. Alternatively, you can be working with medical oncology, but a surgical patient walks in and has a problem. You’re expected to take care of that patient. This is neither safe for the patient nor your license. The workload is immense and there is rarely enough time to complete it. In general, the lack of respect for your contribution in the care of patients and for the dedication to your job is widespread and makes showing up daily very difficult. The patients. They are wonderful “Senior Administration” who are not clinical, and know nothing about actual patient care or realistic clinic function 0.0 0.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 Feb 2nd, 2021 06:38PM Mar 20th, 2021 01:07PM University of New Mexico, Valencia County Consumer Services General Retailers
