I hear they had to sell the building though due to unhappy clients and lots of law suits from unfinished or incomplete websites. When I started at Unleaded Group I thought they were going to be a great company with a lot of potential and a growing small business. Lots of new customers coming in daily and mostly positive attitudes. This quickly changed after only a short year. They don't value talent or even the people that bring in bigger contracts or upsell. Upper management tries to find ways to keep commissions out of the hands of the employees actually doing the selling by bringing in Jarod the "president" at the last minute and claiming it at his sale. He did this often with the sales team and project management team. However, if anything ever goes wrong then all the blame goes on the employee. The CFO Nancy is very manipulative and calculating. She lies so often to clients and employees she can barely keep the lies straight. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1142670 Open Jarod, stop letting Mommy Nancy run your business into the ground. Maybe you should grow up and learn to be responsible for your actions and your company. Also, maybe not a good idea to complain to your hard working employees when they got a pay check but you as the owner of a small business had to forego a month. Also not a great idea to try and take commissions from the employees bringing them in, maybe you should work harder on your own sales? I'm pretty sure based on the number of cars and homes both you and Nancy own, you're doing just fine. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 May 6th, 2021 09:56PM May 6th, 2021 09:56PM Unleaded Software
private:unleadedsoftware https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1142670 Jan 28th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Unleaded Group Denver, CO Smart Team & Great Clients I really valued my time with the Unleaded Group. I worked for the company for 3 consecutive years and occasionally contract my time with specific projects. Andy is one of the most talented creative directors I've ever worked with. Both Jarod and Nancy supported me in numerous initiatives and career pivots while working as a full-time employee. The client work is interesting and you can be very successful at Unleaded if you keep up on technology and changes to the marketplace. Assuming that Magento continues to be the platform of choice for eCommerce retailers Unleaded will be well positioned to take on complex eCommerce projects because the core team understands the platform and customer need. Every business has positives and negatives. The biggest challenge is not the management or client work itself, it's the customer's understanding of development and design of enterprise websites. Most customers come to a dev shop every 2 to 4 years and they purchase a big ticket item with very little knowledge of what goes into making that product. No amount of customer conditioning can prepare them for potential snags or hiccups along that journey. As the saying goes, "the customer is always, right, even when they're wrong." I learned a lot about customer interactions and how to stave off potential problems when working with various type of people. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 1142670 Open Continue to foster talent among your lower ranks. Continue to improve the project management systems/technology and I imagine you'll see the time of delivery improve. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 May 6th, 2021 09:56PM May 6th, 2021 09:56PM Unleaded Software
private:unleadedsoftware https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1142670 Jan 15th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Unleaded Group Lost Potential Flexible hours, dresscode, and personal space. Centrally located, and walking distance to restaurants. Owners show some interest in your personal life. Seniority triumphs over talented and effective employees. The company has owners, and workers, but no traditional, skilled management. Some workers play impromptu team leaders, but do not have the necessary management or social skills to be team leaders. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 3.0 2.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1142670 Open Hire skilled, educated, professional, and sociable managers to lead teams. Do not try to play owners, project managers, and sales people with mediocre results, instead focus on being owners with a vision and a goal. If someone has no social skills, has bad hygiene, isn't approachable, and has no managerial skills, they should not be leading the core talent of the company. Yearly visions aren't implemented, are not followed through, and are left to die without any care. There is no incentive for good talent to stay. There is no opportunity to move up in the company, and no shared ownership, and raises are tied to much to the company's budget, even when other employees are holding back growth. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 May 6th, 2021 09:56PM May 6th, 2021 09:56PM Unleaded Software
private:unleadedsoftware https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1142670 Jan 11th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Unleaded Group Denver, CO Quantity > Quality Ballpark district has some nice amenities with good restaurants, grocery stores, and good happy hour specials. Good place to work if you're only looking to gain experience as you'll get to work on many things. Terrible area of town with a high level of homeless people that sometimes sleep near walk ways. Company is constantly putting out fires with clients. Many of which are directly related to their overseas team lack of quality work in conjuction with poor management and a chaotic work environment. Employees are way under valued and under paid. Management has no idea how to keep good employees and thus there is a high turnover rate. Oh how can one forget the sewage like smell and disgruntled employees. Also no direct deposit and the checks are hand written #StoneAge -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 3.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 1142670 Open Hire someone to oversee, develop procedures, and organize the entire infrastructure. Don't keep employees that are inept. Work on quality not quantity. Scrum teams should be utilized to promote cohesion and quality. private:unleadedsoftware https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1142670 Dec 4th, 2015 12:00AM Open Open Unleaded Group A Mediocre Company Downtown and close to good restaurants and establishments, no dress code, flexible start and end times, social activities, and occasionally talented coworkers to work with. It is a decent place for entry level, a good stepping stone to learn and gain experience. Bad part of downtown with a large concentration of homeless. The company is unorganized, has a very high turnover rate, pay is well below market value, and it is a mainly reactive environment. Employees are understaffed, overworked, and under appreciated. There is no software development life cycle or methodologies, it is strictly reacting to angry customers or to which customer is paying the most. Emphasis on project quantity not quality, with a lot of the work going to an unskilled team in India. Employees are judged by loyalty and not skills causing net negative producing employees to be kept. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 3.0 2.0 3.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1142670 Open Hire an operations manager to take over and restructure, allow them to make decisions. Incorporate scrum teams with full-stack iterative development instead of a front-end / back-end / IT department approach. Work on quality and customer retention to lead towards long term profits.
