Management was really toxic. After being here so long I was able to see the good and bad of UpGuard. One of the CEOs is a bully and the "VPs" don't really have any credibility.
But the tech is fantastic and could really change the world.

Great people, great culture
|
UpGuard has a great culture and is full of great and incredibly smart people. The benefits are good and their mission is great, it really helps the work feel worth doing.
Only downside is that it comes with the risks that most startups do, so your work is tied very closely to the ups and downs of the business and can change on a dime. It rarely frustrated me though, the fast-pace could be fun.
Money is money, a job's a job, but what truly sets UpGuard apart is the awesome group of people they've got there.

Fast-paced environment

Work days are busy and productive. And to be honest they don’t always end at 5pm and aren’t restricted to Monday-Friday. For some that’s discouraging so take that as you will.
I love that I'm never doing "busy work" and everything I do has an impact on the company. Here at UpGuard you aren’t another number, you are a part of the team and everyone here is working towards the same goal. It's awesome and sometimes kind of tiring but also so worth it.
We have weekly team meetings so everyone knows what is happening in each department and at every level. There are no “doors” here. Everyone feels included and ideas are strongly encouraged. It is clear that each employee cares about the company's success.
