Great place to work!
I took a higher position working for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. I truly enjoy working for ICE while assigned to ICE' Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). What can I say, ICE ERO is truly an amazing place to work. The most enjoyable part of the job is everything. The people, the managers, the vision and mission..... Overall, a great place to work.
From all of the places and career changes in the past years, I have to say that people are the most valuable assets that an organization may have. I truly value all of the years of working for the U.S. Government.

Great job
|
Great job with alot of demand on handling a large workload of case files. I learned to prioritize work demands. Management was very knowledgeable and supportive as are your coworkers. The culture is law enforcement, so you must be good with firearms and tactical techniques. The hardest part of the job was sometimes there are long hours. The most enjoyable was always learning new things and the people you get to work with.

When I worked for US Dept of Justice, Immigration and Naturaliztion Service about 17 years ago it was very understaffed in the District Office. My supervisor was not athorized enough funds to fill more support staff so we were very overworked and the overtime was unending. The moral was lacking there!

Early in my career there were lots of travel opportunities which were great, but they slowed down considerably in the last 10 years. Pay was good, there are numerous opportunities to do all types of enforcement work from working in the field to more sedate office work. my experiences with management varied from great to poor, time always changed things so patience pays off if it isn't good it will eventually change.
