Very very bright people here, the office is nice and the coworkers are more than willing to help. The community they built was wonderful at one time.

Management. Poor leadership, and they do not know who they're letting go. Too many people will give it their all and they do not care, nor are they rewarded.

Management seems directionless. Let me rephrase. Management knows exactly what they want to do, it just changes on a regular basis. For a small company, there has been significant turn-over in senior level positions. Read into that what you will.

Utilidata offers great opportunities. I have involved myself in many aspects of the company and have learned a great deal in the few years I have been here. The company values the employees... evidenced by ongoing trainings, regular company town-hall style meetings and team events (golfing tournaments, catered lunches, go-kart racing, collaborative cuisine cooking, summer and winter company parties). The benefits package is one of the better packages around (401k match, vacation & sick time, health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, etc.), the team members are genuinely good people, and the opportunities for engaging work are numerous.
Expectations are high, but so is the support from the company. It is a fast-paced, fun, collaborative environment which focuses on results. Direct customer interaction is common, as is management feedback. Self-starters looking to learn and challenge themselves do well at Utilidata.

Office is in an area of Providence which can add a few minutes to the commute due to traffic.

Even from my interview, it was easy to notice the company’s innovativeness through its product and drive to lead the smart grid market. Everyone was very approachable and the working conditions were great. High pay compared to other local companies.
During my 3 ½ years of employment at Utilidata I was equipped with the tools to contribute to the company’s success while being exposed to tasks which enhanced my qualities, and challenged me each day. Utilidata is an excellent place to work for self-starters, creative individuals and those who like to work with purpose. It has a great work environment which is promoted through the company’s culture of openness, professionalism, and flat hierarchy. Utilidata managed to repeatedly hire inspiring top performers with great sense of humor who made the work place enjoyable. Everyone worked as a team, and it was easy to get support from your peers and leadership team.
I am happy to see the work and progress the company is making. I will always miss the Utilidata team! oh the weekly happy hour every friday with the team!

The work environment is awesome at Utilidata. There are great perks in place to ensure the comfort and efficiency of employees. Everyone is ready to help you in any situation and everyone is friendly and supportive. You would not know the Senior Management from the regular employees as everyone is welcoming and very friendly. It feels more like a family here.
