|
Unless you're popular within the company, your experience will not be great. You will be overworked, and won't get promoted unless you're well liked. And don't believe the "Honey Empire" talk. Pray you get on a team where the manager has your back and not trying to sabotage you on the back end. You can report what's going on all you want, but if they like your manager is one of the faves, nothing is going to happen. I did not have a good experience here at all.

Good place to start out
|
If you're starting out in your career or fresh out of college, this place might be great for you. If you're already in your career, not so much. You'll find out that this is not like a normal agency and they'll tell you that right away. There's a high turnover rate for a reason, HR does not care. What you say doesn't matter even if you have valid reasons and experience. People do not understand, or know how to act or work in a professional environment. The majority of the people there need HR training.
The only thing that kept me sane were a few coworkers and even then, they had the same issues as I did. And they left before I did.

High quality clients, variety of clients and type of work, emphasis on "hustle culture" and not the best compensation

Working at Vayner was a great way for me to gain experience and work with talented, passionate people. The pay was ok...I negotiated a decent salary for myself (at the time) but I know others were making much less. Many people consistently put in long hours and the company doesn't exactly discourage that. I maintained a decent work/life balance for myself. I would recommend Vayner for young, passionate people who want to gain experience at a legit agency.

very poor work ethic, it feels like a sweatshop with no appreciation

it is 60 hrs per week, not 40 hrs

no trust, no empathy, no appreciation- it's completely the opposite their HR is preaching to employees

Being burnt with back to back meetings and very project management approach all day and seeing how the company is burning junior resources
