<p><em>Job</em><em> Title: Project Geologist</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>General Statement of Duties:</strong></p><p>The Project Geologist will be working with the CTL Geotechnical Services Dept. This position is full-time with competitive pay based on experience and education. The Project Geologist will perform services primarily associated with geotechnical and geophysical explorations and investigations. This position will include a mix of field work, laboratory work, and office work. The Project Geologist will work independently on a broad array of projects under the direction of the Department Manager. The Project Geologist is expected to be involved with client marketing, proposal preparation, and may provide direction to associates on a project to project basis, perform project site assessments, prepare lab and field testing assignments and duties, review documents and test results for content and accuracy. Geophysical project preparation, field testing, data processing, and reporting may also be performed by the Project Geologist. Additional responsibilities may also include training and supervision of field/lab technicians, maintenance of quality reviews and certifications, management of equipment inventory and calibration.</p><p><br></p><h1>Examples of Duties: (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that may be found in this job.)</h1><ul><li>Perform field work including site reconnaissance, boring layout, sample collection, instrument installation and reading and laboratory testing.</li><li>Schedule and coordinate with geotechnical drill crews on various projects.</li><li>Perform geophysical surveys such as 2D and 3D Electrical Resistivity imaging and ReMi.</li><li>Assist Project Managers and Dept. Candidate will ideally be a self-starter with experience or interest in Forensic Investigations, Property Condition Assessments, Building Surveys, Testing and Analysis along with design experience for building envelope and roof remediation. <p><strong>CTL Engineering Inc. Job Description-Project Inspector</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong><em><u>Job Title: </u></em></strong>Project Inspector-Construction Services</p><p><strong>General Statement of Duties:</strong> The Project Inspector will perform construction administration and inspection services for the state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility and infrastructure projects. This position will monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications, read blueprints, and work on a variety of construction projects.</p><p><strong>Examples of Duties: </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Perform construction administration and inspection services for the state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.</li><li>Monitors and enforces quality standards and specifications, reads blueprints, and works on a variety of construction projects.</li><li>Inspects construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals and bridge projects.</li><li>Verifies plan quantities and calculations with a bid plan, prepares and maintains project records, and reports and performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer.</li><li>Notifies the contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Knowledge of Construction inspection/administration.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Ability to be reliable and on time.</li><li>Quality minded and client focused.</li><li>Ability to work with others and be a team player.</li><li>Ability to enforce quality standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>2 years of transportation construction inspection experience is desired as a minimum.
