As one of the key members of the regional logistics team, he/she is expected to work closely with both internal and external customers - suppliers, vendors, contract manufacturers, 3rd party logistics providers (3PLs), and freight forwarders; and be responsible for logistics and freight related matters and resolving any operational issues dedicatedly and effectively.In the job capacity, he/she is expected to act professionally, independently, deliver positive impactful results to logistics business execution, and behave respectfully and reciprocally with relevant internal partners and external suppliers and 3PLs. This position offers good learning opportunities and career development for the dedicated and qualified personnel. He/she will be reported to Senior Manager, Freight and Logistics in VeriFone Singapore.Responsibilities: Develop and lead 3PLs and freight forwarders using objective measurement methodology and Key Performance Indicators (important metrics), and engage in formal business reviews.Implement continuous logistics improvement initiatives to 3PLs and freight forwarders.Work reciprocally with 3PLs on inbound, outbound, and rework/conversion processes to ensure on-time order fulfilment and shipment delivery to end customers.Drive system process to be used with 3PLs, develop expertise in this area, and serve as the regional process owner that all can use for training and implementation in new locations.Manage 3PL on fill rate, cost and inventory accuracy.Ensure and monitor 3PL system transactions are performed accurately and timely and perform periodic inventory reconciliation.Conduct weekly shipment performance reviews with contract manufacturers and 3PLs.Prepare ad-hoc shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices, packing lists, packing labels, shipping marks and other relevant shipping documents.Liaise closely with freight forwarders for shipment planning and confirmation of import / export shipments, and handle shipments from end-to-end.Submit monthly management report to supervisor on work accomplishments, report of issues, and recommendations.Manage logistics quality processes such as corrective and preventive action plan and work with 3PLs to follow up, investigations, and rectify problems such as damages, shortages, mis-shipment, non-conformance to SOP, etc.Work with internal departments / organizations to obtain test certificates, quality reports, etc. to apply for product registration with authorized certification bodies.Submit shipping documents to local Singapore Chamber of Commerce organizations for the issue, endorsement, and certification of Certificate of Origin (COO), and other shipping documents.Manage of LC (letter of credit) shipments with internal customers and freight forwarders.Handle virtual shipment process and exception shipment requirements.Support ad-hoc internal and external audit requests such as providing of records, audit trails, reports, documentary proof (e.g. POD, CI/PL, etc.) to satisfy audit requirements.Conduct quarter end dock walk and validation process at warehouse in accordance with company-wide policy.Participate in ad-hoc cycle count and physical inventory exercise.Review and validate invoices of 3PL and freight forwarders; and conduct monthly billing audit.
