You will eat
|
You start you day on the milleu with 14 patients and another worker. You end your day with 14 patients and no one else. The admin staff and nutritionist did not eat with clients and TAs. The hardest part of the job was the continuous eating. I felt like I was eating 7 times a day to model good eating skills. I absolutely loved this job nut the pay could be better, management could be better, and time.

Veritas is a place where the management does not listen to the worker's. They tolerate a certain color but shows favoritism to another. The management doesn't care about the staff nor the patients the work atmosphere is very toxic which makes you not want to work there. People are treated by their title and there is no mutual respect.

The worst job experience I've ever had
|
Loved the company mission. With that said, I grew to dread going to that place because of how the Executive Chef conducted himself. He was a horrible manager. He was the main reason for a lot of strife and division in the culinary department. He's childish, petty and messy. You can never go to him with any concerns without him putting you down with the other staff members. He was more concerned about his personal friendship with a certain staff member than the culinary department as a whole. He discussed staff's business and left important private documents sitting around for all to see.
He allowed the worker he is friends with to come to work late just about everyday and knew he would disappear for hours on company time. He asked the Sous Chef to report to him what time his friend came in and left because he was clocking in and out on his phone for times he was not in the building. He had no moral compass and verbally attacked anyone who had the nerve to disagree with him. Complaining about what was going on was ineffective because upper management only see what he pretends to be, not who he really is. They are not in the kitchen to experience his behavior. I've seen good hard working staff lose their jobs because of his favoritism and unfair actions. I was warned about his many faces and I found out that it was true. Good luck to anyone working in that kitchen. And stay away from the gossiping.

An Environment of do what I say not what I do
|
This place needs to be shut down by the medical board. They only see their patients as $ signs. Unethical treatment is the norm and there are multiple readmissions. Patients are given the rules when they admit, but psychotherapy staff, dieticians and medical providers cave and give in to the patients and bend their once rigid rules. It isn’t therapeutic at all and then leads to most of the patient population just doing what they want. But hey, the company is making money off of these multiple readmissions. So it’s a win.

Pre & Post Covid you will be forced to eat with your patients, It will be in your contract under meal support, The food is not great but it is free & definitely calorie heavy, But don’t worry if you can’t or won’t finish it, you’ll be provided with a supplement like boost, The administrative staff (upper management) are all useless, You will hardly ever see Therapists Doctors or dieticians offering meal support, So if you’re looking to be a TA Nurse or a CMA keep looking, When anything goes wrong with patients it’s almost always frontline staffs fault

Would have been an excellent plce to work had I not had a control freak as a supervisor. The overall staff was great I really met some down to earth people in the Charlotte office location.
