Nice and friendly colleagues.
Founders are hands-on, approachable and are open to feedback when a well-drafted plan is presented.
A refreshing change from previous MNC and SME experiences as it is a relatively non-political environment.

Limited resources as it is a startup, however, colleagues from other teams are always willing to help, except they may not have the relevant experience to assist 100%.
Salary comparable to local market rates however scope of work is on a regional level.
When it gets busy, it gets really busy with tight turnaround times.

While company plans are shared on a quarterly basis, it seems like junior employees are still uncertain about the direction which needs to be clarified by team leads.
Having a HR personnel on hand could also assist in the development and growth of employees in the company and help address underlying issues and misunderstanding from previous employees.

Prudent financial management and principles that has helped generate steady growth year on year - a sense of stability compared to other regional platform startups like HOOQ and iflix, who were splashy and doling out big cheques but have since died off.
Management is quite flexible and understanding with working hours or if you need time off. However, not the kind of job where you can rest on your laurels and shake leg - it’s a tech company as well at its heart so there is always room for improvement, which is something I personally prefer.

While growth is steady, it is not as fast as compared to other platform MNCs who have billions to fuel quick explosive growth.
Startup culture with not as much resources so might have to wear double hats or work longer hours whenever there are key projects (though I kind of wonder who isn’t doing that now?) Not for anybody seeking 9 to 5 life.
Management doesn’t like to address rumours and prefers to let time do the talking.

Writing this because I see that there is some frustration and angst from certain ex-employees. I am from the working level as well and had every respect for this group of people, but it’s sad that they’ve chosen to waste their writing talent on sour reviews.
No company is perfect but I don’t think any deserves to be talked about in such a manner - I know what truly horrible companies are like and this isn’t one of them. But I do advise the management to sometimes take a step back and put more focus on the HR development of each team, so as to address any future unhappiness before they fester.

If there are any pros, they're not real.

- Shady management all around.
- Leads don't know what they're doing and newcomers often find themselves lost and wondering how their higher-ups got to their positions
- Company is extremely reluctant to listen to employee feedback
- Departments are not encouraged to work together, but instead have a "that's not my job" attitude.
- False sense of open-mindedness.

An 8 Year Old Startup That's Stagnant And Shady

- The office is located in an easily accessible place.
- You rarely have to bring work home.
|
- There is no structure from the two founders. The leads are meant to come up with their own team structure, which means that if you get a manager who is not resourceful or a total micro-manager, you'll be stuck in the same role forever. Hence...
- There is no growth in this company. There is no career path charted out, and when asked, HR also remained mum and avoided the question by saying please refer to your immediate superior. Which in the case of Con #1 means you're stuck forever.
- the founders claim to be receptive to feedback. However when presented with constructive criticism, they end up turning around the points to make it about your failure and lack in performance rather than seeing the issues for what they are -- which is fundamentally, structural.
- In my role, I have firsthand experience for how they manipulated their campaign reporting and reporting tools to deliver inflated performance numbers to their clients. This isn't the only type of numbers they've cooked up either... The lack of ethics don't seem to matter since they to drink from the PAP's teat and continue to get work of government campaigns.
- The founders lack vision. They fire those with skill, keep those who are automatons, and consider those who challenge the status quo "toxic" when they're the ones who are truly toxic.

None unless you count people who are nice to your face but stab you in the back, or leaders who would rather get rid of people who question instead of solve problems.

They are always trying to undercut people including their own staff. Don’t be too quick to believe their social media follower counts. Go through them and you’ll find that they’re mostly bots. No qualms about artificially inflating their numbers and trying to lie to staff about it to cover up their tracks. Bunch of circle jerkers thinking they’re an MNC but have a budget that’s even smaller than some micro businesses.
5* reviews here are probably planted too.

This company is built on a bunch of lies - they flood their social media following with bots and fake their video view counts in order to make themselves look good. Sounds unbelievable? You can easily check their social media platforms via online auditing services to see how many fake followers they truly have.
There is no organizational management at all, hardly any room for advancement, no long term plan or road map for employees (which also means you'll most likely be stuck with the same pay grade).
The culture is horrible - they don't see the value in employees who actually put the work in and ask legitimate questions about how to move the company forward. Instead, they reward and keep anyone who blindly follows whatever they say or do, and thinks that anyone who doesn't is "out of line".
Don't believe any 4 or 5 star reviews over here - they probably got their own employees to write it for them!
