They have a pretty relaxed dress code and you get the sense that management wants you to succeed. You do get an in office week occasionally, but you are required to bill during that week as if you were onsite with a customer. The work itself is enjoyable and you get to meet a lot of great customers/people, but the philosophy is to make you travel, but not compensate you for being on the road all the time. They thought getting frequent flier miles and hotel miles was compensation enough. The structure is also management heavy, so although your billable rate is really high, it has to pay for the managers who do not bill customers. Upper management decisions driven by ego more than logic. Managers control employees through fear. Very bitter company culture from the top down. Rules were constantly changing. As a software consultant your job was constantly threatened, unless you were one of management's 'favorites', which was always very clear. PTO was rarely taken because if your productivity slipped you would get written up. Got one day of training on their outdated, buggy software and was then expected to take all level of cases. Very hard to get any help, and the negative attitude of senior technical support personnel was difficult to deal with.
