Quality research is done at this institution and the education for both undergraduate and graduate students is very strong as well. I have taken several courses as a PhD student during my first two years, many of which were hybrid graduate and upper level undergraduate courses. I have also TA'd several lab courses here. The main course material covered and the innovative experiences incorporated into each course prepares undergraduates well for graduate school or professional jobs and the graduate course work tends to be useful for graduates. Blacksburg is a relatively quiet and beautiful area.

The undergraduates walk through streets like blind deer. Several professors look like they've had the life sucked out of them.
