Competent and friendly employees overall, pleasant enough work situation. I do not in general regret my time there, but that is likely because I successfully transitioned away.

Leadership was very poor. Vision was largely nonexistent and to the extent it existed was poorly communicated to employees. Employee anxiety as a result (well justified given waves of layoffs).

Summer Internship

I loved my summer internship with VirtualWorks because they engaged me like no other company has before. Even though I was only an intern, I was invited to several sales meetings, team meetings, and various events. This was incredible as I learned more during my time with VirtualWorks than a full semester at school. The team was very hands on and management was very respectful to everyone as they wanted to empower every employee and intern.

Lots of freedom in defining own tasks and activities. Very generous salary levels. Flexible work hours and relaxed reporting requirements. Great place for underachievers.

It was a very fun laid-back environment. Awesome start up environment with flexible hours and company lunches. Opportunities for travel. I loved the product and wish I had it at my current company

Small amount of sales. Lack of long-term direction. People were hired and fired within five days because of said Change in direction. Not the place for a long term career.

Awesome engineering department from top to bottom. I have never worked in a more relaxed and creative environment. The employees are what drives this company.

Lack of quality Marketing and Advertising leadership leads to constant changes in direction. The turnover in those departments has been constant and causes a lack of faith in leadership as a whole.
