There are a number of positives I am listing below when it comes to working at Volo Commerce - however the best things I can say from a personal perspective having previously worked in a much larger organisation is that it is incredibly straight forward to make positive changes - you will actively be encouraged to do so and it's ok for things to not go fully to plan as long as you can take away lessons from this and take corrective action.
- Office location & parking
- Quarterly bonus
- Clear business strategy and a team of people focused on making a positive difference
- Perkbox (shopping discounts, free coffee, movie rentals etc)
- Sonus speaker system (could also be a con depending on your taste in music! Rebecca Black - Friday is played every week!)
- Team organised events like 'Friday Feast' & 'Chicken Thursday'
- Relaxed & friendly team atmosphere

The business has gone through significant change during my time at the company. At times this could have been handled better, particularly when it comes to communication. When you are a smaller organisation, communication should be a real strength, especially using communication tools like Slack however this was an area of weakness for the business.
Volo Commerce recently came under new ownership and communication is something that is a real focus for the business so I believe this will be a 'Pro' in the future as opposed to a 'Con'.

this is brought about by the need for the ceo to hve a final big company to mimic his previous one over a decade ago. it’s all about being a ‘cool technology company’, meaning ‘flog the horses dead then get new ones until the product works’.

Lovely colleagues and very talented staff.
I joined Volo/ esellerpro after university and slowly progressed my way up. There are all the good things and bad things about the company which you can expect from a small/ medium firm.
I think the key is if you have skills and confidence you can survive and progress in any company.
Yes I do think that the java software/ tech stack was a bit out of date, but which company doesn’t have a software like that and all of those softwares are very good with what they are made to do.
I used my own time as well to learn things, since there aren’t many red-tapes you need to cross. You can try all those and will be accepted.
I have no complaints, yes the direction keep changing with management and this company has gone through many changes in last 7 years I was there but that’s something I would see as a positive thing for me personally as you get to work with different technologies and some really talented people.
I wish Volo/ esellerpro/ new company/ies a very good luck and thanks for giving me opportunity to work there.
Note to people who may have issues and are not happy. Carry on don’t waste 5 days of your week in doing what you don’t like. There are lots of other companies out there.

Quite honestly this place is a CIRCUS. The vision changes daily as do the staff, the mood is sombre, with people having faced redundancies for the last few years. Management thrives on fear and making others feel small.
If you are talented, young and smart, you should avoid this place like the plague. It will be of no benefit to your career and negatively impact your mental health.
