-As a service tech the flat-rate guys get the work first leaving you with not much to do other than mop and assist the ones who want help when the days are slow.
-If the shop is busy, and you run into a problem it will be some time before you can get assistance from one of the other Techs.

There are very few "pros" of working here. I recommend NOT working here.
|
(1) Leadership in Sweden is absolutely disconnected from reality. The CEO doesn't run the company. There is a group of Swedish friends who basically run the company. It is a closed circle.
(2) Zero opportunity for upward mobility
(3) Leaders of the organization (both in Sweden and in CA) have been caught in blatant lies. They are manipulative and terrible.
(4) Promotions do not make sense. People are put into roles which they have absolutely zero background in.
(5) The most talented people have been passed up for promotion again and again.
(6) The CTO is notorious for getting upset in meetings, slamming doors, ill-treating employees and having major conflicts of interest. Cannot believe this guy is #2 in the company.
(7) HR does NOT advocate for employees. Rather, they work against employees. They will do the bidding of Sweden and fire CA employees without notice and they will try to swindle their way our of paying benefits, etc.
(8) Benefits are terrible. No Stock Options. Pay is mediocre.
(9) Volvo does not honor contracts.
(10) The most talented people have left this company. They cannot retain talent.
(11) Constant re-organization with little focus.
(12) C-Level personnel have come to CA and told employees during famous FIKA events that the CA office needs to prove itself, otherwise it will be shut down!
(13) Employees CONSTANTLY WORK IN A STATE OF FEAR.
(14) This place is a mess. Don't work here. Please do NOT work here.

Ever since August 2019, and the very calculated gutting of the CA office, it is abundantly clear that Swedish Management lost its way. The company needs entirety new leadership. The CTO and his minions are the primary problem with the whole company.
Volvo claims to have excellent culture and values - but Sr. Leadership guts the heart of the company. It has consistently been observed that C-Levels will give VPs and others pats on the back and speak words of encouragement, and then fire them immediately afterwards without any explanation.
Anyone who isn't Swedish has little to no chance to be promoted.
Diversity and Inclusion is an absolute joke.
Senior Management is filled with people with no ethics. They engage in illicit relationships, have literally destroyed families, destroy lives, and systematically role back anything that isn't their own.
Creativity is consistently shot down. Employees have been told "if you work on this, we will block your every effort".
Amazing solutions have been brought to the table, only to have teams in Sweden work AGAINST their adoption.
There are literally 5 different teams within the company all working on the same problem, and they will tear down anything another team delivers. This is so terrible and dysfunctional.
HR works against employees. Don't believe for one second that HR is your friend. They will work to fire you and cover up management faults.
Management needs to take a hard look in the mirror and change the entire company. Volvo Cars is a swimming pool filled with urine and fecal matter. You just cover it up with a decent looking vehicle.
