Small family company. You get to wear many caps. Lots of learning opportunities. Easy access to multiple taco food trucks.

A Matter of Perspective

The company's size allows you to make a difference in the company. People are generally positive and have a great sense of humor. Because of the size of the company every person matters. They have potlucks and holiday meals and birthday cakes. I like the family environment. i like that they are not just about making products, but making a difference in the world big or small.

It can be intense at times when the pressure is on, they will make sure you're on your game. Benefits keep getting more expensive, but maybe that's everywhere...

Very curious staff. Several employees, including my immediate manager actually took delight when I asked questions. They have a bunch of cool products, and have no issues of any employees taking any of their products home to become familiar with them - -they actually "push" it, which garners intimate knowledge for customer help and satisfaction.
Leadership listens to ideas and encourages you to come up with plans and implement them.
Speak up at this company, with true reasoning, and they are great listeners.

If you are used to any type of volume of noise and banter, it may take some getting used to working at Wagan. When I was there, leadership was making a true effort to improve the culture.

If you're introverted you'll fit right in. Quiet, family like environment.
|
Be sure to negotiate what you want to make when you start the job, not much room for advancement afterward (learned this the hard way). Benefits aren't great (no paid time off for after a year of employment or other benefits start for 6+ months).

Great co-workers, fun product line, great for a starting position or fresh off college/grad school.

There is no real advancement, since the company size has keep advancement to almost non existence. You are expected to pick up more and more work, yet the rate of your pay doesn't really follow that jump.
