Manipulative. Skipped work most of time. Wouldn’t let you use earned PTO because she was the one always gone, which would have led to being short staffed. Huge liar. Worked alongside an open negative Racist and junkie. I liked the job, HATED the people. Got to get out of the building and away from the people most of the day. Vacation days are set by seniority at the beginning of the year, and if you haven’t been there 20+ years, there are almost no openings. If someone else has the day off that you need, your request is denied. Don’t try calling off for that day you need, either. Management will harass you about it. THEY play favorites and if they don't like you. YOU will most defiantly end up fired. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! they will not treat you fair, save your self the time I beg of you. The work itself and the staff are good but the management really comes in to sabotage any happiness you really have there. They’ll tell you To cancel your family plans/events to come in and work overtime. If you do not, they’ll mark it as an unexcused absence. Essilor, the main Optics company, has closed many labs due to Covid and Walman is taking on all the jobs. People are passing away in AR labs across the country (literally) and it is not being brought to light while Walman gains clout and overworks its employees to keep these new accounts. The management and coworkers will try and act like your friends than use words against you for their advantage.
