Fellow 'frontline' colleagues were usually great, when given the freedom to introduce and share ideas it could be rewarding, but even if they were successful you rarely got appreciation for them

Lack of appreciation from higher management, managers of the store often did less work than the shopfloor staff.

50% Staff Discount. Other booksellers are lovely people. Working at the cafe in store was a nice change of pace sometimes.
|
Staff favouritism. Meanness towards booksellers by management played off as jokes. Lack of understanding of mental health issues. No praise for a job well done but endless complaints at a job done wrong.
