One-of-a-kind product and online community. Opportunity to work on projects with well-known brands like Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime. Before COVID-19, lots of opportunity to socialize with teammates, have fun outside of office hours. Management was (once) very intentional with implementing new policies to support employees and their mental health during pandemic and beyond.

Severely under-resourced, difficult to find work-life balance especially when certain projects involve business partners who are based around the world yet majority of Wattpad staff are based in Toronto. Very few opportunities to connect with other staff and cultivate culture in-person since pandemic.
