Good people and culture- you spend more time with colleagues than anyone else, the people working within Wazoku are a genuinely great bunch. Transparent founder who is super honest about what is going in within the upper echelons of the business. They removed a lot of benefits, no flexible hours, no scheduled remote working, no short/extended lunches and leaving late or early. If you are a young self-starter who wants to learn a lot from a really interesting company in a fast-growing industry then Wazoku is the place for you. - Autocratic, lack of personal responsibility/ accountability, lack of individual customer focus. Be transparent with your company's objectives and bake them into team and personal targets, meaning that everyone is moving in the same direction towards the collective goal. - Values: It was great that Management has set Wazoku values. The key next step is to get these ingrained into everyone's daily lives at Wazoku. A formal way to do this is to bake them into everyone's targets so people have to demonstrate each quarter for example, how they have been Customer Focused. A more informal way would be to have visual cues around the office on posters or merchandise etc. The people who have demonstrated the most can then be recognised at the Wazies each year. - Culture: Wazoku has a very relaxed culture which has it's positives and negatives. I have previously worked in more pressured and structured work environments so this experience means I can be more self sufficient in a relaxed culture. However, a lot of young people join Wazoku, often as their first real job.
